I've been too busy to have any time on crafting. This year I decided to postpone my summer vacation until fall. But I'm ok with that because I'm not that kind of person who needs heat. On my first holiday week, me and my family visited in Vienna. The sun was shining and temperature was over 20 degrees almost the whole week. Here below are some photos from Vienna.

Schloss Schönbrunnin linna puistoineen, kukkaistutuksineen oli upeaa katseltavaa, alueella sai kulutettua koko päivän. Palatsissa vaatimattomat 1441 huonetta :)

Schloss Schönbrunn palace with it's gardens and flowerbeds were beautiful view to the human eye and we spent almost the whole day in this magnificent area . By the way: there are "only" 1441 rooms in that palace. :)

Gloriette pylväskalleria hallitsee puiston kukkulaa.
The Gloriette- a vantage point at the top of the hill.

jonka kahvilaan kannatti kävellä kiemurtelevaa polkua pitkin omenastrudelille.
To get up to the hill you had to walk through a winding path. Cafe Gloriette and the traditional apple strudel
Sieltä on myös upea näkymä alas Schloss Schönburnin linnaan sekä taustalla näkyvään Wienin keskustaan.

Staatsoperilla ooppera katsottiin ulkoilmanäytöltä suorana lähetyksenä...ei tarvinnut iltapukua :)
Live Opera on the Square, I didn't need to get dressed in the evening dress :)

Schmetterling hausissa sai ihastella perhosia, jotka lentelivät kädelle kuvia ottaessa.
In the Imperial Butterfly House you can admire free flying butterflies.

Tämä perhonen meinasi lähteä tyttäreni mukaan :)
This butterfly almost left its home with my daughter.

Aitoa Sacher kakkua ei voinut ohittaa...nam!
The Original Sacher-Torte...Yum Yum!

Uljaana kohoava Stephansdomin kirkko.
St.Stephen's Cathedra, one of Vienna's most recogniseable symbols.

Erikoinen Hundertwasserhaus.

  3. Wow! Some amazing photos there, Marjut. I've never been to Vienna and had no longing to go there but you really did whet my appetite! It looks amazing. I love the last photo, too :-) The butterflies are absolutely gorgeous...I'm not surprised your daughter loved them...I hope she wasn't tempted!
